How do we use our land and what is the most efficient way we can utilise our wild resources? It's a big question and we tackle some of the issues in this interview with Donald Barrie from the Glen Sauch research farm for the James Hutton Institute. From the benefits of setting our hills on fire, to the consequences of removing hefted flocks from the hill, this is a goldmine of knowledge. We also take our listeners for a virtual walk around at the end, taking a look at some of the work across the farm.

As always there is a new competition running for this show, with listeners having the chance to win a Hornady re-loading manual. Listen in and check our social media below to be in with a chance. Don't forget the blog has a whole host of other articles on the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and conservation.
